Budget Workshop: July 13
Budget timeline: a yearlong process
Budget at a glance: tentative millage rate – no change from FY 26
Primary focus: maintain existing levels of service, major investments, public safety, infrastructure and asset maintenance
Fiscal Strategy: operation efficiencies, cost controls, and process improvements
Long Term Planning – strong reserves, proactive vs. reactive in our infrastructure maintenance
Budget: Funds constitutional officers and 19th judicial circuit
Where do your ad valorem dollars go in Martin County: 66% public safety, 24% general government, 7% Roads stormwater, environmental, 3% culture and recreation
Utilities, Airport and Building services are all enterprise funds
Non-departmental – revenues and expenditures that are either not county-wide or not part of a specific department
