Yeah, I loved hearing and how they spoke about him, you know, and then how he in turn spoke about his tenure here, but quietly shaping and caring for parks and facilities and recreational areas throughout our community. And it just it was so lovely and touching.

And then we had a special presentation from the Four Club. It was a video produced by them about protecting our land.

Then it came to Commissioner comments. Yes. And the board directed staff to bring an agenda item forward towards a one year moratorium or pause. Yes, on hyperscale data centers in unincorporated Martin County.

Yeah. So that's something that'll come back to the board. And they also reconsidered an action that had taken place on a at a previous meeting on August 11th. And that was a department quasi judicial hearing, not a hearing, but it was an.

Okay. Well, then it was a hearing. You heard it here first. Anyway, they reconsidered that action. And so staff is reaching back out to that that resident about about the issue.

Awesome. Yeah. And then there were two consent agenda items that were pulled for further discussion. One of them was the local housing assistant plans and Martin County's ship program, which is the state Housing Initiative partnership program. Yes. And so those were pulled. They want to do a new presentation.

Yeah. They wanted to hear more about it instead of just approving on consent. So Michelle Miller, the director, gave a presentation, talked about them. The board ended up approving those, but they also asked her to come back and do some more detailed presentation. Yes.

Oh yeah. This was an MOU between the University of Florida Gators. And wait, I didn't hear clapping. No. Okay. Moving on. Between the University of Florida, the Martin County Board of County Commissioners, and that's really for the IFAs program, which is educational programs. They do training, they do workshops. We're always sharing information about those in the show notes and on our social.

So that was just a memorandum of understanding about between the two parties and what that agreement looks like, what the parties are each responsible for.

And then we also had some appointments made for boards and committees, and that was for the Value Adjustment Board, Industrial Development Authority Board and Hobe Sound Jensen Beach in Rio. Oh my Rio neighborhood advisory board which is our the Naches. Yeah, I can't help, but I do it wrong every time.

It's endearing to me. Then we went on to department quasi judicial stuff. The board received and filed a request for an approval of a PUD, and adopted a final site plan for the Martin Commerce Park. Awesome. Yes.

And then some department items. So the board adopted the library, came and did a presentation on their long range service plan. And it kind of helps guide staff in the operations events services. And so that was adopted for 2027 through 2029.

Yes. And then the board also approved ELOC had a new list, which is our environmental land acquisition Oversight Oversight Committee. Thank you. And they approved their list of recommended properties for potential acquisition, which was pretty cool.

It was a pretty big meeting. We had a lot of public comment about the data centers, and the commissioners were ready to talk. I mean, we're ready to talk about it and wanting to talk about it anyway. So chambers was filled. And I always love that interaction.

Yeah. Yeah. And so our next board meeting is September 15th. And that also will be the first budget hearing.
